What is a typical session like?
Every client is different. During your initial appointment, we will review your Medical History. Once reviewed we will talk about your eating habits and then discuss what you should be eating, what a typical day should look like, etc. We will brainstorm meal and snack ideas that fit into your lifestyle but also nudge you to improve your eating (and stress, exercise, sleep) habits to further improve your health.
Do you accept health insurance?
We accept most major Health Insurances: Anthem BCBS, AmeriHealth, Cigna, United Health Care, UnitedHealthCare Oxford , UnitedHealth Community Plan, Aetna Health Plan, Empire BCBS , Horizon NJ Health Medicaid , Horizon BCBS NJ, Medicare (with secondary insurance only), GHI / Emblem Health, 1199 SEIU, AMERIGROUP
What methods of payment do you take?
We accept all major credit cards, check or cash.
What documents should I bring to my first visit ?
We request that you provide your current health insurance card at every visit and inform the staff of any changes in your personal information. Insurance ID card , Identification Card / Driver License, Referral from Doctor if needed, Laboratory Results. It is the patient’s responsibility to verify with your insurance that our provider is a participant in your insurance.Please be advised that if for any reason your insurance company will not reimburse medical nutrition visit(s), then it will be the patient's responsibility to cover dietitian services at the discounted rate.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
We enforces a strict 48 hour cancellation policy. If you must cancel your appointment please do so by email or phone, 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Allowances for Emergencies are at the discretion of the dietitian. You will be charged $50 for cancellation or missed appointment not made in the 48 hours prior to appointment.
